Having a hard graduate school week with lots of assignments due has meant chugging out complicated XML projects, and procrastinating by reading up on new art exhibits, installations, museums, and following some of my favorite artists (the best part of any day!). Coolest thing I’ve found this week after drudging through my enormous RSS feed backlog:
Christo has just been approved to begin the installation of a project titled “Over the River,” that, according to the New York Times “will include eight suspended panel segments totaling 5.9 miles along a 42-mile stretch of the river, about three hours southwest of Denver. Construction could begin next year, pending final local approvals, with the goal being a two-week display of the work as early as August 2014.”
Here’s the press release for more info.
